Carlos is back and has a new job role at the Academy...

Some of you will already know Carlos. He's been part of the Imaginarium family for a while now, fluttering around film sets, cheerleading from the sidelines with his own particular brand of flamingo enthusiasm. Then, as flamingos occasionally do, he got a little sidetracked on his annual migration. We won't ask too many questions about where exactly he ended up, or what took him so long. These things happen.

But he's back. And honestly, we've missed him. We get the feeling he's missed us too.

He's also returned with a brand new title. Carlos is now our Head of Student Communication, and it suits him perfectly. Carlos has always been a collector at heart, of stories, of moments, of the kind of work that deserves to be seen by more than just a classroom. Now it's official. His job is to seek out the brilliant things our students are making and share them with the world. Expect to see a lot more of him in the Journal, in the newsletter, and popping up wherever great student work is happening.

A little bit about Carlos, if you're new here...

Carlos is a flamingo of unusual charm and very questionable balance who never quite managed to fit in with his flock.

So, when a travelling circus of artists, dreamers and delightful oddballs passed through town, Carlos did what any sensible flamingo would do and ran away to join them. For years, he travelled the world collecting stories, learning tricks and falling slightly in love with the strange beauty of show business.

But it wasn’t until he landed at Imaginarium Film Academy and discovered cinematic arts that things finally clicked into place.
